|United Kingdom Houses of Parliament|
Further to my post on 1st November, the Mental Health (Discrimination) (No. 2) Bill Committee Stage Report has now been published on the Houses of Parliament website. The Bill will have its Report Stage and Third Reading in the House of Commons this Friday 30th November.
All MPs will now have another chance to debate the Bill on the floor of the House. Amendments to the Bill can be proposed. It is likely the Bill will go on to the Third Reading stage on the same day. An important vote will then take place with MPs asked if the Bill should go to the House of Lords.
If you think it is important to end discrimination whereby if you are taking anti-depressants or regularly attending counselling sessions you are barred by law from sitting on a jury, or if you feel a Company Director should not lose their position because they have a mental health problem then please contact your MP to ask them to support this Bill on Friday.
